Video: MIA's 'concentration camps' in Sri Lanka

Al Jazeera's David Hawkins visits Sri Lanka's 'concentration camps' for displaced Tamils.

TamilNet - the Tamil Tigers' official news site - calls these camps for the displaced 'concentration camps'.

That's taking after the Nazi style concentration camps which housed millions of Jews.

I've said this before and I'll say it again. It's in the Tigers' and their sympathisers' best interest to paint a picture of total doom in Sri Lanka.

That's why MIA joined the 'concentration camp' bandwagon. Her father and her immediate family are all sympathisers of the movement.

M.I.A. was born in Britain but moved to Sri Lanka when she was 6 months old so that her father, an engineer and a leader in the Tamil separatist movement, could help fight for an independent Tamil homeland.

"Needless to say, the Tamil Tigers are among the most dangerous and deadly extremists in the world. For more than three decades, the group has launched a campaign of violence and bloodshed in Sri Lanka, the island republic off the southern coast of India." - FBI
